 Greetings APS Participants and Friends!

The attached APS VLC News Digest is a summary of job openings, events, research opportunities, articles of interest and announcements for the peer workforce in New York State. The News Digest is published every 2-3 weeks through the APS Virtual Learning Community project. We encourage you to contribute announcements from your region.

This issue includes a blog by Denise Ranaghan, Director of Peer Services at NYAPRS, that was featured in Psychology Today. Also included is the latest installment of the slice of life as a peer specialist, which Howard Diamond has been writing monthly for several years.

Be sure to browse through the round up of events, research, resources, job openings, and share with anyone you know who may be looking for extra help our request to organizations with direct support volunteer peer positions to email us with a description. That way, we can inform those with a provisional certification about opportunities that may qualify toward their required supervised work hours.

Finally, the APS Sense of Community survey measures regions and roles where the sense of community is the strongest. We hope to build on knowledge we gather to continue to strength and grow our peer support workforce.  The survey ends March 30 | Take it Now

The Virtual Learning Community website contains this issue of News Digest and more! You can find this issue and back issues of News Digest on the Virtual Community site.

Warm wishes,
