Dear Academy Learners,
There is just a little over two weeks remaining in Term 2, which ends Monday, July 26, at noon. If you are working toward the New York Certified Peer Specialist (NYCPS or NPCSP-P) certification the posttests and evaluations for the Core (and Elective) courses must be completed prior to the end of the term.
We will continue to release new CE (continuing education) courses based on webinars and workshops of our network of community partner organizations. These short (typically 1 to 1.5 hour) courses are a way to learn from some of the leading practitioners in the field, stay up to date with the latest developments, and earn NYPSCB approved credit at the same time. The Alternatives conference is the conference of the consumer/survivor and peer rights movement, and it continues to honor the legacy of the late Judi Chamberlin who was a pioneering leader, author, and outspoken agent of change.
