Term 3 Update
Dear Academy Learners,
We hope you are having a productive fall. It is hard to believe we are already halfway through Term 3 (now in the 6th week of our 12-week term), and you will see some new APS continuing education CE courses (launched last week) in the Course Catalog
- JP1-02 NYC Justice Peer Center Kickoff
- Talking About Tobacco Part 3: Building Motivation for Change
- ThPS-00 Overview of Telehealth Peer Support and the APS Training Series
- ThPS-01 Competencies of Telehealth Peer Support
We are in the midst of recording a Telehealth Peer Support series, with the first two courses now available and the Course Catalog will continue to be updated as new courses are launched throughout the remainder of Term 3. Watch for these new courses as they become available.
BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS TRAINING
Do you need to learn computer skills or get a refresher? Or are you working with people who are just getting started with computer skills? Free tutorials and videos are available through Goodwill Community Foundation Global (GCFGlobal)
Five GCF courses have been approved for continuing education. Look under the heading Computer Basics with GCF Global Learn in the APS Course Catalog for more information about the specific courses and how to submit a request for credit for these courses through APS.
Lunch Time Training
Starting on October 25, our APS Interns will be offering lunchtime skill building sessions based on the Goodwill Community Foundation Courses. To register for one or more of these sessions, click here
The next webinars in the Talking About Tobacco series have been scheduled. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about becoming a champion for this potentially lifesaving cause of talking with the people you support about their tobacco use.
