The Academy of Peer Services is happy to announce a new feature on the APS site, the “Accessible Core Courses” button. This button is available on the home page after you have logged into the site. For more detailed instructions and information including screen shots, please click on the “Information for Accessible Core Courses” document on the homepage.

Once you click on the “Accessible Core Courses” button, you will see a listing of the 12 Core Courses.

After you choose a course (by clicking on its title), you will see three resources to click on and view.

  1. PDF Files: These are printable and screen reader ready versions of the course modules.
  2. Video Transcripts: These are the transcripts for the videos contained in the course modules.
  3. List of External URLs: This document lists all of the resources and references that are contained in the course modules.

Many of the videos contained in the course modules are available at YouTube and via TED Talks, which allow you to enable closed captioning (CC). For more detailed instructions on using Closed Captions in YouTube and TED Talks, click on the document available on the APS home page entitled “Closed Caption Instructions”.

For more detailed instructions and information including screen shots, please click on the “Information for Accessible Core Courses” document on the homepage.

If you have additional questions or require more information on accessibility, please click on General Questions button under "Getting Help" on the main APS page.
