Dear Academy of Peer Services Learners and Friends,

See the attached link for this month’s newsletter, which is focused on Communities of Practice and collaboration. This month's newsletter features some exciting new resources and developments:

The Community Calendar is now up to four pages in length -- and growing -- as peers around the state contribute activities, events, and meetings that are open to peers. If you have some happening, let us know. Don’t get left out next month!

A few highlights – check the Calendar online and in the Newsletter for much more!

The HAHA Conference in Buffalo is on April 26. More about this in the online calendar and in the newsletter.

The Many Faces and Places of Peer Support is our newest series of lunch-n-learn webinars, in collaboration with the Office of Mental Health, which will be held on the last Friday of each month.

The NYC Peer and Community Health Worker Workforce Coalition is also collaborating with us on a series of Professional and Leadership Development webinars, which will be on the second Friday of each month, starting with one on Personal and Professional Wellness with Peggy Swarbrick on May 10. More about this webinar in the newsletter.

The NYC Peer Workforce Coalition (a separate peer networking group from the above Consortium) is holding their One-Day Summit on May 29.

Submit your activities and events –

If you have news to share for the newsletter and website, drop us a note at:  academy.virtual.community@gmail.com

The Job Bank now has over 100 verified peer specialist job openings each month. Let peers know about this resource! If you know employers with openings, have them get in touch with us to post their openings on our site.
