Good morning, APS Learners,

Please find important reminders below.

Term 3 2020 closes in one week

This is a reminder that Term 3 2020 closes on 11/23/2020. Please plan to complete all of your post-tests and course evaluations prior to 11/23/2020. The APS will close for its regularly scheduled maintenance and quality improvement processes and will open for course registration again on 1/4/2021.While the APS courses are closed for registration; you can still access all of the Continuing Education (CE) courses available for credit in the Academy.

Continuing Education Courses Open

Today, the APS launched the first CE course in a 6-part series developed and sponsored by DOHMH, "Racism: A Public Mental Health Crisis".  This CE offering is 1.75 CE hours and the description can be found below:

This course encourages participants to recognize racial inequities in mental health outcomes and access to services. We advocate having potentially uncomfortable conversations about racism & how it impacts the mental health of BIPOC (Black and Indigenous People of Color). We also hope people will recognize that the time is now to take action to uproot racism and there is an urgent need for racial equity & anti-racist work in the field of mental health.

Please check back soon for the remaining CE offerings in this series that will be offered later in November and December.

  •  Racism in Mental Health in NYC: The Journey from Data to Anti-Racist Action at DOHMH
  •  Becoming an Anti-Racist Organization: Breaking Down Structural Racism from Within
  •  Impact of Structural Racism on Children and Families
  •  LGBTQ Community and Intersectionality: Lens of Intersectionality in Racial Equity Work
  •  What's Next? How Do We Intentionally Move Forward? Leading 'Bold Change' at Your Workplace

We have created a Digital Job Fair Directory, to guide your exploration of the 40 employers and exhibitors. To access the Directory, click here.
